There have been several significant USB standards, with USB4 2.0 being the most recent version:
USB4 2.0: This version of USB 4 was introduced in September 2022 and supported 80 Gbps (81,920 Mbps).
USB4: Founded on the Thunderbolt 3 specification, USB4 ropes 40 Gbps (40,960 Mbps).
USB 3.2 Gen 2×2: Also mentioned as USB 3.2, devices that obey its specifications may transfer data at 20 Gbps (20,480 Mbps) or Superspeed+ USB dual-lane.
USB 3.2 Gen 2: Former as USB 3.1, compatible devices can direct and obtain information at 10 Gbps (10,240 Mbps), otherwise “Superspeed+.”
[USB] 3.2 Gen 1: Before being called USB 3.0, acquiescent hardware can reach a maximum broadcast rate of 5 Gbps (5,120 Mbps), called SuperSpeed USB.

USB 1.1: Also known as Full Speed USB, USB 1.1 devices have a maximum transfer speed of 12 Mbps.
